POTTSVILLE — A 30-year-old New Jersey man charged with aggravated arson in the city was granted a continuance for a Rule 600 motion hearing. Colburn, who is jailed in Carbon County Prison, appeared before Judge William L. Burke on Tuesday on aggravated arson, aggravated assault and other charges stemming from an alleged March 2024 incident in which he lit a woman’s foot on fire. In a separate case, Colburn is also facing aggravated assault and strangulation charges from an earlier incident that March involving the same victim.
